At Amonn Print we use a flexographic printing machine, which is more commonly called a flexo. It is a direct rotary printing method that uses relief plates, called clichés, which are made out of rubber or photopolymer materials.

Flexography is mainly used for printing flexible packaging, like labels.

The plate is embossed, soft and flexible and is wound onto a cylinder. Printing is direct: light pressure is exerted by a cylinder, transferring the ink directly from the cliché onto the substrate.
